ChatGPT for recruitment agencies
How can recruiters create interview preparation packs with AI?
The recruiter pastes the client’s job brief, the interview details and the candidate’s CV or formatted profile. A ChatGPT Skill set up with your agency templates drafts two documents: a candidate brief covering the role, the company, the interview format, what to bring and the logistics, and an interviewer pack for the client with a short candidate summary, job-related questions taken from the brief and points to explore. It lists anything the brief or CV does not answer. The recruiter checks both drafts against the brief and CV before they are sent.
Why interview packs get rebuilt every time
Candidates who know the role, the format and who they are meeting interview better, and clients who have a short summary and a few focused questions run better interviews. Most agencies know this, but the packs are rewritten from scratch for each interview: the brief is in one email, the interview time in another and the candidate profile in the ATS. Under pressure, the candidate gets a one-line WhatsApp with the address and the client gets the CV again. An interview preparation Skill turns your best pack into the default and tells the recruiter what is still missing.
What goes into each pack

| Section | Drafted from | Goes to | Recruiter checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Role and company overview | The client’s job brief and what the client has agreed you may share | Candidate | Nothing confidential about the client is included |
| Interview format and logistics | Interview details confirmed by the client: date, time, location or video link, who attends, how long | Candidate | Every detail matches the client’s confirmation |
| What to prepare and bring | The brief and your agency checklist, such as certificates or a portfolio | Candidate | Only items the client actually asked for |
| Candidate summary | The CV or formatted profile, in the candidate’s own terms | Client | No skill, title or result the CV does not show |
| Suggested interview questions | The requirements in the brief | Client | Questions are job-related only |
| Points to explore | Gaps between the brief and the CV | Client | Wording is neutral and fair to the candidate |

Summary: Operations Manager at Company A since 2020, leading a team of 25 in warehouse operations, using a WMS daily. Suggested questions 1. Describe how you plan staffing for a peak week. 2. Which WMS have you used, and what did you change in it? 3. How do you measure your team’s accuracy and speed? Points to explore - The brief lists Arabic as an advantage. The CV lists English and Hindi only. For the recruiter: parking details and the reception contact are not in the brief. Confirm with the client before sending.

Where it fits in the process
- After submission, before the interview. Once the client asks to meet the candidate, the recruiter runs the Skill with the confirmed interview details. For the earlier steps, see formatting CVs into the agency template and the candidate-submission workflow in the recruitment guide.
- Your templates stay the source. The Skill uses your agency’s approved candidate brief and interviewer pack templates, each with a version. When you change a template, the new version is approved and the Skill is refreshed; the old version is withdrawn.
- In the candidate’s language. The candidate brief can be drafted in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Tagalog or another language the candidate prefers. See messaging candidates in their own language.
Guardrails
- The recruiter checks and sends every pack. AI drafts can get a time or name wrong, leave out an instruction or add a detail that is not in the brief or CV, so each pack is compared with the client’s confirmation and the candidate profile first. Instructions to the Skill reduce this risk but do not guarantee a complete or accurate pack.
- Suggested questions stay job-related. The Skill is set up not to suggest questions about religion, marital status, pregnancy, nationality or other non-job factors, and the recruiter removes anything that is not relevant to the role. The client decides what to ask and who to hire.
- Candidates are prepared, not coached to mislead. The brief explains the role and format; it does not script answers or suggest experience the candidate does not have.
- Client and candidate information stays confidential. Start with sample or anonymised briefs and CVs; real ones belong in your approved ChatGPT workspace, with the access, retention and consent rules your agency and its applicable duties require. See ChatGPT governance.
- Manual input is the default. The recruiter pastes the brief, interview details and profile. Reading them from your ATS or calendar, or sending packs automatically, needs a separately agreed, configured and tested integration.
An interview preparation Skill can be a single Skill for AED 97, built on your own templates. Agencies that want interview packs alongside screening questionnaires, client reporting and team training usually choose GROW at AED 7,500. See the pricing page and what AI costs for a recruitment agency.
Common questions
Can AI prepare candidates for interviews?
Yes, as a draft. From the client’s brief and confirmed interview details it drafts a candidate brief covering the role, format, logistics and what to bring. The recruiter checks it and sends it.
Can it write interview questions for our client?
It suggests job-related questions taken from the requirements in the brief and lists gaps between the brief and the CV to explore. The client decides what to ask.
Will it coach candidates to give perfect answers?
No. It explains the role and the interview format so the candidate can prepare. It does not script answers or suggest experience the candidate does not have.
Does it connect to our ATS?
Not by default. The recruiter pastes the brief, interview details and profile. Reading from your ATS or calendar needs a separately agreed, configured and tested integration.
